To reach the top it helps with a topbike. If it’s a lot of climbing it helps with a light bike. If it’s technical you want tires to trust that is not getting of your rim and you want a fork that helps you as much as it’s possible. But racing at the top you also have to trust your equipment, nothing should make you slower or ruin your results, everything has to work. And it have to fit you.
