From two bikes to one (mtb). From 480mm damping total to just 100mm.
Sold my two bike and getting a hardtail 27,5″. Learning and developing as a hardtail is much simpler and more fun to play with even when it’s not so technical. 27,5″ because I think it’s funnier, lighter and I already have a fork and wheelset for it.
But not decided which one, that’s the tricky question. Will use Sram XX1 gearing with Sram X.0 or Formula R1 brakes, Cannondale Lefty or a stiff Lucy fork. Thinking of a Gasventinove as it’s cool, the geometry seems good and isn’t steel cooler than carbon fibre that everyone wants?
But also an option is a Grammo Paku with PF30, tapered steerer, 31,6mm seatpost (dropper post compatible) and got great space for a big tire I’m thinking of:
What do you think? Any super options I’ve missed?
From this two I would choose the Grammo Paku with lefty. That would be a beautiful bike 🙂 but my favourite is the open 1.0 🙂
