The mtb world cup hasn’t started yet but today the womens road cycling world cup began. A race on flat roads in the Netherlands with a couple of climbs up Vamberg and some bad pavé roads in the forest. Roads where Emma Johansson was in the front and Kirsten Wild punctured.
Was an interesting race but a bit sad end. After Vamberg it became a front group with the best riders and with some attacks from different teams made Emma Johansson suffer a bit too much so lost what could have been the final breakaway. 4 riders got away but when the passed the finish line to go for a final small lap they didn’t work together and got caught pretty fast. No one did anything and a lot of riders came back to end the race with a bunch sprint.
Julien D’hoore from Wiggle-Honda won the sprint in front of Amy Pieters – Liv-Plantur
Great with a stream at RTVDrenthe and watch on my mum’s smartTV 🙂
Sad they don’t send it on normal TV here in Sweden.
