Specialized for example is a huge brand with a bike for every purpose. If they found a new purpose they produce a new bike, not making one bike for 2 or more things. N+1
Kona isn’t such a big brand and they got a new Cyclocross made both for racing, gravelgrinding and even commuting:
Then there are smaller brands, like 3T and Open that really makes special bikes built for a purpose. They got 2 models each.
A brand that is even smaller is the Icelandic Lauf. Starting with light carbon spring forks, developing a gravelfork with carbon springs called Grit. And now, a frame they call True Grit:
It’s longer than usual gravelbikes and a bit of new thinking. I like brands who think and goes their own way of what’s best. Pushing the industry forward and making others open their minds.
No matter it’s great with a bigger market of gravelbikes. More to choose from and when you found the right one you know why it’s the best 🙂 (not just the only one in its category)
Which is the best gravelbike according to you and why?
To be honest, my previous road bike. Light, durable, fast as shit in places where ”traditional” gravel bikes are to heavy 😛 But – not so happy gears afterwards…
