same CX

2 weeks ago, my first CXtraining on my Super Crux 😉 It was heavy and with Terra mud tires. I was new to the CXcourse. Did laps around 5.30.

Today 2 weeks later with 640g lighter CX, faster tires with Tracer in front and Trigger rear on a course that got some rain on and with good grip (mostly). My laptimes are the same 😦 the starts where better, everything felt better. Rode 3 heats with 2 laps each as earlier. The 3rd heat ended with a sprint with a guy behind my that wanted to pass but never came past, was really hard but fun.

Today we also rode with chips to secure places and be PR0 😉

As usual I think I was the fastest with clinchers 😉 maybe that’s the problem. I need tubulars to go faster. And I need to find my CXpedals a.k.a Eggbeater 4Ti.

Maybe you will get more pictures from today as we had a guy working as crowd, starter, race leader and photographer 😀

290g lighter, S-Works ftw

When you change some parts you do it for the fit and the weightsaving is just a bonus. My Sram Rival crankset is really good (you want to buy?) but it’s also really heavy for being a single chainring BB30 crankset:

A S-Works crankset 172,5mm long (2,5mm longer than the Rival1) including the same chainring and chainringbolts:

290g difference, A bigger weightsaving than measuring bikeweight without pedals 😉 But it’s not just light. It’s also the stiffest high-end crankset on the market according to Fairwheel Bikes 😀

I don’t know if I felt it or if it was placebo but it felt better riding home with it on. My Crux on the way down in weight:

40t chainring. Ordered a 46 for the most epic trip this autumn 😀

CX Peloton and the big Plouay

A bike can’t talk but it can give signals. My cx started to collect dust and begged to go out today so announced a gravelride after work but without answers.

Tried the Peloton CXloop for the first time with my own Crux. Last time I did it on a cx it was my boss Crux Pro the 25th March. Today the plan was just to have fun, no higher goals and I succeeded. My Crux feels stiff, fast but also so quiet. Took some pictures for you:

A little after this on the gravel out to Erstavik I found my gears limit, 40-11 was a bit too easy with tailwind. 😀 Around the small lap and then back. Went pretty good with not to big effort. And then I met a guy with orange bartape, could only be one so we stopped and met. Magnus was out training too.

Had a chat that ruined my Le Peloton Stravasegment but was nice in the sun 😀 A reason to ride it again in the sun and try to beat some personal records. Maybe next saturday.

Got a personal record of the little lap out in Erstavik today but a lot segments behind the ride I did in March 😉 Then it wasn’t as dusty as today so better grip then.

and the important thing today which I’ve missed. Womens last world cup of 2015 in Plouay!

Grand Prix de Plouay-Bretagne was today with a great podium. If you like me was out riding when it was UCI got a replay. Watch and enjoy Emma Johansson beat a World Champion:
