Racing superfast on famous places like Bryggen. And beating my Strava times to a basement far away 😉

Todays favourites Boels-Dolmans and BMC didn’t make it, nor did Cervelo-Bigla or Quick Step. Today was the day of Team Sunweb:

The winning team of Floortje Mackaij, Lucinda Brand, Ellen van Dijk, Coryn Rivera, Leah Kirchmann and Sabrina Stultiens.

And as you say: Women first. The men took the same spot and made it Double Sunweb!!!

dsc_1017-1496644925163-1mgqhrpkpgh54-1890-80

Dropped seatstays like Roubaix and Venge Vias. Seatclamp like Vias. Rear derailleur hanger and drop-outs like Vias. Direct Mount brakes. And a straight slim beautiful fork. Also said to be superlight, steeling technology from the superlight Epic HT

What do you think? And the question is when it will be released…

todays racing

First the best race, Ronde van Drenthe. World cup for women:

1. Marianne Vos – Rabobank-Liv/Giant

2. Ellen van Dijk – Specialized-Lululemon

3. Emma Johansson – Orica-AIS

And also a race for the men with a top winner:

1. Alexander Wetterhall – Netapp-Endura

And then we got the two race that got more media attention, Like the 4th stage of Tirreno Adriatico:

And the 6th stage of Paris-Nice with an awesome sprint, nice winner and good podium 🙂

The nationals

the national championship weekend in Cyclocross is now and today the top champs got their new jerseys.

First in The Netherlands the worlds best cyclists (except in mtb) won again, Marianne Vos:

Sad to not see Daphny van den Brand on of Marianne’s sides.

Second champ that got a new jersey, number 7, is Zdenek Stybar that won in his hometown Stribro:

More from his race here: Zdenek Stybar

So tomorrow, will Lars van den Haar win over Thijs van Amerongen and will Klaas Vantornout (read his a favorite somewhere) win over Nys, Alber and Pauwels that seems to like the top of the podium. Has Pauwels won the national championship in Belgium any time in elite?

And then the americans will fight a bit different. Think Katie Compton will dominate the womens race with Georgia Gould second. But in the mens race. Will Jeremy Powers defend his title or will Tim Johnson or maybe Ryan Trebon take it? Will Jonathan Page get on the podium or how is it going for him?

Start the new year in a good way

15.00 CET today it’s Cyclocross! Sven Nys own race in Baal, but without Sven Nys this year as he is sick 😦 Will Zdenek Stybar take his first win of the season at his second last race? Will we the see the stairs that is there just for this race and will Niels Albert crack? Hard to say now but all we know is that it will be a race and I hope it will be exciting. And racers in new teams, clothes as it’s the first race of the year. Watch it here:

Cyclephotos is at the race and took this picture from U23 race?

CX World Cup Heusden-Zolder results

Interesting race but with two too fast Colnagos, as most of the time. Zdenek Stybar rode well but not in front for the gold after Niels Albert attacked. Got Meussen with him and Sven Nys was chasing. Meussen dropped and Nys caught. So it became a race with Nys and Albert again. Albert rode fast but Nys showed why he is as good as he is. Seeing where Albert have most problems and then attacking their on last lap. Sven Nys won ahead of Niels Albert. Zdenek Stybar was in the chasing group but attacked at the end and ended 3rd:

Marianne Vos won the womens race with over a minute down to Katie Compton. Sanne Cant 3rd.

Cannondale Slice RS, and Stybar back in todays race in Essen!

Yesterday the bike was a dream, today it was hate and you saw blood and could have see tears but didn’t, instead ginger bread.

First time building bikes with internal everything and a lot of new things is never so easy. Specially as I did wrong, shouldn’t start mounting the crank and you should take out the liners after mounting the wires. And Cannondale should put in a liner in the chainstay for the builder.

But what a bike. Not that good brakes but like it anyway and everyone know that you shouldn’t brake to ride fast. And speaking of fast, compared the seatpost to a htc One X to show you how ”thick” it is:

And the result:

A 9,04kg Cannondale Slice RS Ultegra size 52. Clean front with integrated brake:

And from rear, nicely says AERO on the inside of the chainstays:

To the end, hope you didn’t miss the CX today in Essen. Zdenek Stybar is back and rode really well until the sprint. Sprinted and pushed Jan Denuwelaere into the side so he crashed. Was fast to go back and forgive himself and seemed to be happy that he didn’t broke anything. Stybar was first over the finishline but ended 4th.
