Specialized S-Works Diverge a.ka. Divergett

2 years ago when I sold my Crux and got a Diverge Comp Carbon I felt like I found right. Last year I heard rumors they would come with a new Diverge and as it felt a bit boring to get the exact same bike 2 years in a row I changed to a Sequoia. Bigger tires was a lot of fun but I was missing the roadbike feel of a Diverge.

When they released the new Diverge I knew I had to have one. When I read about it I felt even more that I had to get it. And thanks to Specialized Nordics I got the only (?) S-Works frame in size 52 that is coming to Sweden. Thanks to Specialized Concept Store Stockholm it ended in a top of a line bike that felt awesome from the first pedal stroke:

The Futureshock may look a bit odd but it feels really nice. And the bike in total feels really awesome! Will vary with wheels as I got a set of cheap tubulars too for road mostly. And will probably change for a 3T Bailout cassette when it is released. And am waiting for my Berk saddlecombo from the mtb to come back from repair to have the possibility to save even more weight.

But as it is now it feels really really good. Road it on gravel yesterday and it’s just what I wanted and dreamt about. Can really recommend it to everyone wanting a fast gravelbike suitable for every terrain (except terrain) 🙂

And as everyone asked, the totalt weight as on the picture but with the right cassette which I changed for today: 7,72kg

An injury can end up with new feelings. Like this morning when I woke up by the alarm at 5.00 and was happy to go out and ride my bike in the darkness before everyone even thought of breakfast.

Hidden on the picture behing Klas in the red jacket, maybe you can see the green rear end of my helmet 😉

Got dropped pretty fast which I expected and tried to do a long lap as fast I could. Wasn’t fast but felt like I could push the small Watts all the way. Then the light came and while the others did 3 fast lap I did 2 slow:

Happy ending up at Valhallabageriet to celebrate the Cinnamon Roll day that we have in Sweden today 🙂

It ended up as the longest ride since 2nd August. Time to push limits and get my leg back to usual 😀

Le Peloton #164

Many people gathered this morning, on roadbikes… Except me and Claes who did the CX Peloton on our gravelbikes 🙂 Was the new Diverge as good as the old one for that was the big question.

Started a bit easier than if the fast guys are with us and then rode as hard as I could. Great with Claes on my wheel chasing and made me go fast. He took a couple of turns on Erstaviksvägen which was nice. The Diverge went fast, it was fun and it felt good. Was able to keep the power high (for me) and heart rate under control.

My 4th best time, still far from the top and not a PR but I felt a bit fast for once. And the bike was really nice, loved the futureshock on the bad gravel 🙂

Started this Thursday with being dropped by these guys. On the first lap. 2nd and 3rd lap went better I turned fail to success 😀

Like this: Strava. And ended the morning with a nice breakfast in the sun at Valhallabageriet 🙂

After a great day at work and a yes from my boss I was out on a bike again. Changed from my Tarmac to the new Diverge, now with Roval CLX32 wheels and 42mm Specialized Sawtooth tires on:

Cafécycling out to Älgö in easy tempo was on the schedule. Went pretty fast to be easy but was fun and the bike felt good except this in a size too big is a bit too high and not as light as I want. Funny to ride with 42mm tires with 3bar when riding with friends on roadbikes with 25mm tires 😉

We all got ice cream in Saltsjöbaden (that’s the purpose of this ride)
