She Rides weekend

You know when you have a weekend with a lot of biking planned and you start to loose the grip on a slippery grass corner and get a bit less skin on your hip? Then it’s good to not be alone and just feel sorry for yourself and instead enjoying to ride a bike with a beautiful girl like this:

and as a tribute to the day before I had Le Mond kit and we ended the ride with a coffee at bikecafé Le Mond:

Then we left for Rönneberga on Lidingö for a weekend planning the bright future of She Rides which is a great community for women cyclists in Sweden. Rode some mtb together too:

had a nice view:

and I used my new cool shoes I got from David, Patrik and Lisa in birthday present 🙂

After a nice sleep and some good breakfast and to learn about Prehab and Rehab from Access Rehab it was time for riding again. Today I got a bike in my size and a full suspension, Scott Spark 27,5″:

Fun to try and haven’t ridden 27,5″ all year, felt small. Met the big guys (Johnnie and Andreas) and I got to try a 29+ Trek Stache a little, that’s big:

Great weekend with great people and a lot of fun 🙂 Specially to Jessica and Jaime:

Went back to Stockholm and packed and changed clothes to get the best end of the weekend. Was out with some friends and ate dinner together, Niklas missing in this blurry picture but thanks to Rille, Camilla and Linda and Niklas 🙂

New weekend, new bikes?

Merida showed their new Ninety-Six today:

Ghost has showed their new Lector:

And Focus got their Raven Max:

Now without tape but didn’t found a good picture. Cannondale changed the colours from green to orange:

It’s a World Cup hype with new things. Everyone wants to do as BMC who was the first this year to present a new hardtail. The big question is when Cannondale is releasing their new Scalpel? And what about Scott and Specialized, nothing new on the XC scene, except victories? 😉

Jenny Rissveds won the U23 World Cup race in Albstadt today! is the last news from Germany. Really fun 🙂

SWE XCO Champs and a rainy ride

Women junior winner: Jenny Rissveds

Men junior winner: Dennis Vincent Wahlqvist

Then the big names. Women Elite winner: Alexandra Engen racing for the best swedish club (I’m in it too 😉

And in Men Elite Emil Lindgren dominated leading the race early and then keeping it to the end:

Alexandras 6th title and Emil’s 2nd. Well done!

And before they won I was out riding my SuperX again. 5th ride on it and still like it a lot 😀 First 1-1,5h was okey and then it started rain and rained the last 3h. First time this summer I get good use of my Mavic Infinity H20 jacket 😉 Rode around Gullfjellet without any stop in Os. I felt just dead in Os and wanted to take the big easy road home but David and Tom that I rode with had other plans and I didn’t stop it so. First a small climb up Ulven (pretty nice one) and then Fanafjellet. Didn’t feel so much slower today than last sunday but my heart rate were almost 15 beats lower.

And when just eating a banana, climbing Gullbotn, up Stølskleiva, Ulven and Fanafjellet I got pretty dead. Had to take my emergency gel when we came to Lagunen to survive the way home. And I did but was pretty weak in the end. Hard life but fun in a way too. When the bike works good, you ride with good friends on nice roads with nice climbs for a long time, then you can have this good feeling coming home and have to sit down before you even can get in to the apartment and just thinking of laying on the floor. 🙂 The sad thing about the ride today is that my barometer on the GPS didn’t work that good when it started raining and the Elevation correction in TrainingPeaks was just a joke. So the climb isn’t right in any way 😦 But if you anyway want to see map and a graph you can look here: TrainingPeaks Gullfjellet raining
