Morningspins and breakfast with a view

DSC_0688

This is how it all begins. A bridge, a sunrise and then a lot of cool fast people. Did Morningspins on Djurgården this morning and I couldn’t picked a better morning. Blame on my wide tires and heavy legs from yesterday that I couldn’t keep up all the way around the 3 laps but it was great training 🙂 Looked a bit like this by Hagen, Klas and Jacob:

Pure magic. And a great fika afterwards:

Compared to Le Peloton Morningspins is over faster and just after 8 I got to Hammarby Sjöstad and almost work. But Patrik asked me yesterday if I wanted to join for breakfast so called him, just on his way out so we met up and did go on an adventure ride for a proper Sequoia breakfast 😉 Rode gravel, singletrack, crossed some ice and rode (Patrik) endurolines downhil.

Then we climbed a mountain and had breakfast watching out over a lake like this:

A super morning all over the place. Like this: Strava

mtb+road with friends in the sun can just be AWESOME :D

Started the day with SCS Breakfast Club with these guys:

Had some flow and it was fun even when it was wet 🙂

Was up on Hammarbybacken trying to find my boss for a while too, hard life:

After we found each other Magnus god an arrow in his helmet:

It was so hard we had to have a fika before work.

After work I met up with some other friends on road and was supposed to ride easy. Rode stylish at least almost hidden:

The one and only Kalle shot a picture from his hip:

I turned around a bit keep Isa company fixing a flat the easy way, skills:

Then I finally came back home. No KOM but one 4th place going 29,4km/h up a 9% climb 😉

Keeping it with class today thanks to Specialized S-Works, Cafe du Cycliste, Gelatosocks and Oakley:

Thanks for me, thank God for the weather and thank you friends for being friends and making life a bit better than I’m worth 😀 Good night and welcome to Le Peloton tomorrow

SCS Breakfast Club, Enduro style

Met up with Patrik this morning for the weekly ride. But the Kangas brothers where late so changed the plan a bit. Instead of riding same ride we rode a couple of downhills waiting for the others. Then it was endurotraining all the way. Alexander and Oliwer is really fast going down but the are as fast uphill too, hade a hard time trying to follow. Both of them and Patrik och Specialized Enduro bikes. Looking like this in the middle of Hammarbybacken:

And after Oliwer came with the stupid idea to climb to the top it looked like this, blurry as it was steep in the end, too steep. But great training:

And a view the other way, great view of a part of Stockholm, city to the left:

The final lock-out

A remote lock-out doesn’t look good, so I never mounted the one who was included with my fork while waiting for the beautiful knob. Today I got a personal delivery at work from Racing Bike Sweden with The knob.

Took out the remote parts in the fork:

And mounted the nice lock-out and lower compression knob saving 16g 😀

So much better, and tomorrow I will use it on SCS Breakfast Club

1520g for the fork now.

SCS Breakfast Club

New training week and can it start better than with mtb with fast friends? If you had asked me after the ride today I would have sad yes. The flow wasn’t there today. Felt pretty good on the first singletrack and then it became opposite. After the weekends snowing and melting afterwards it was slippery in the forest and I just lost the grip so much I didn’t even try, stopping for smallest thing and just thinking of going straight to work and not ride more. The others where flying and I came lost, found my way back to the others and had planned to say if I found them that I just quit the ride and go straight to work. But I’m a quiet guy sometimes having a hard time to say things and so even today.

I complained on my flow and said I sucked mentally but I continued. The others waited for my and when everything felt like shit they didn’t complain. Thanks, if you read this.

In the end my and Fredrich who rode his Epic today rode a different way to get more flow. Or we thought so and found all the roots in the forest in the same place. But went pretty okey, much better than I expected.

No pauses to photo for me today so just sharing an instamoment getting som great food:

And I seem to be a bit famous in this town. On my way to the meeting point this morning a friend spotted me at a redlight 😉
