Throwback thursday

That bike will never be forgotten. I bought it 2006 as a frameset, sold it and bought it again in 2009, sold it and bought it again in 2012. and sold it 😦

That was my first mtb which I started my racing ”career”, it was my first Cannondale.

And it’s so well made in so many good ways. Really liked that Fatty fork. Really liked to be able to ride a 2×9 and 10 drivetrain with a Shimano Dura-Ace front derailleur. Really liked the light and clean wiring. Really liked to be able to use a road crankset on a mtb for it as a winterbike. Really liked to get it work with 28″ Mavic Reflex rims and Challenge Grifo 32mm tubulars.

Thanks to that bike I learnt a lot about biking but also as a mechanic because it had many different parts. Weight weenie style like on the picture with Tune King hub, New Ultimate handlear, Extralite barends, Aerozine QR, KCNC seatpost, Dura-Ace 7800 front derailleur, Tuned Sram Rival rear derailleur.

I miss that bike…

My best bike, ever!

Some bikes you like but after you sold them you never think about them again, no memories, no love. It doesn’t have to with price but more how you liked it before, special relationship.

If you know me you probably know which bike I will write about already. It got a blogpost with it’s history before: Historypost

Last time I owned it it was my best winterbike I’ve had:

A winterbike with parts from Tune, Extralite, New Ultimate and Shimano Dura-Ace.

17th november 2013 was the last time I rode it. Then borrowed from the new owner and rebuilt a bit with Fox fork and 27,5″ wheels:

The frameset is from 2003 but I still like it. Some things never get old 🙂

got the Force!

Jupp, så ser det ut med Spécialtiés TA Hegoa 50t storklinga. Idag var jag på Öster Cykel och hämtade ut min cykel som sluppit en tung adapter (47g) och istället fått BB30lager (54g) monterat. Även vevpartiet var monterat och som största plus var allt vägt innan som jag bad om på bra våg. Grymt nöjd. Efter lite beundran, en del prat konstaterande åkte jag hem.

Vikt för mitt vackra Sram Force BB30vevparti är:

BB30 vevlager: 54g

Vevarmar: 495g

Lillklinga (39t): 30g

Storklinga (50t): 80g

Klingbultar: 8g

Totalt: 667g

Så fint så jag får visa en bild på lite hur det ser ut på baksidan av vevarmarna med:

Nu fattas bara nya däck och mina Timepedaler som sitter på en testcykel i klubblokalen för tillfället monteras så är den klar. Vikt just nu med olimmade däck inkl pedaler är: 6617g
