Specialized Sequoia Expert

Specialized Concept Store Stockholm ordered a new bike for me 😀 As I am as I am I couldn’t keep it original,

Specialized has it as a middleway between the Awol and the Diverge. A faster adventurebike that I wanted to have faster 😉

Why I wanted this instead of a 1kg lighter Diverge that is faster is: because you always want a steel bike, Rider First Engineered is a thing that triggers me, it got space for huge tires, It’s designed by a Swede and it’s a bike that gets people how dislike the big Specialized brand to like it.

My Sequoia got a Sram Red22 crankset with a 42t Garbaruk Melon chainring, will get a black 46t as the orginal FSA SL-K is so locked as it has 4×110 BCD.

Thought it was a bit high in the front so it got a Zipp Service Course SL -17° 110mm stem.

Wanted an aero handlebar as it’s cool, the Specialized Aerofly was out of stock so got a Zipp SL-70 Aero which also makes it possible to go with a proper stem with its short reach.

Specialized Roubaix bartape as it is simple and okey. Wanted white as it should be but it really doesn’t work with the White Mountain framecolour.

Specialized S-Works Power saddle as I like the Power and too much weight difference to choose a Pro or Expert.

Specialized S-Works seatpost as it’s lighter and looks better than the CG-R which people complained on after I mounted my saddle so far back. Steep seat tube angle on this bike, 75,5°.

Will have 2 pair of wheels, now inbetween. Specialized Trigger Pro 38mm on the light ones which are a lot lighter than the Sawtooth and got some better grip riding fast on Le Peloton.

That’s about it compared to the original. Crank Brothers Candy 2Ti pedals as usual, been with me for a long time now.

Total weight: 10,12kg

Not so light, but it’s nice and I hope to use it a lot 😀
