Le Peloton #142

or the 3000km pass. Passed 3000km ridden this year on the way to Le Peloton this morning 🙂 And my Sequoia passed 5000km on the way home from work. Never ridden a winterbike so far before so maybe it will give some results.

And seeing this picture missing me, Emil and Stefan is showing spring is here 😀 15 riders, mostly without studs and not everything in the wardrobe to keep warm. Today was fast, my fastest time this year and even when me, Fredrik and Michael got dropped in Storkällan it went fast. The fastest Emil and Nils was on studded tires which helped the rest of us a bit but they were really strong and fast as usual, maybe I had too wider tires? But today I didn’t just tried to hold wheels, I was in the front some times and even attacked on the climb up to Hellas just because I could. Not my smartest move but after I did the test on Aktivitus last Sunday I thought I need to push harder and push the limits higher. The knowing of that there is more to give when you feel tired is really good.

But in Storkällan I couldn’t keep up with Emil and Nils when they sailed away. Me and Fredrik became a chasing duo and on Flatenvägen the headwind hit us hard, never ridden there with so much headwind before. But we kept on as fast as we could and even passed 3 others who had taken the Älta shortcut.

Too tired to sprint so Fredrik got todays 3rd place and I was just happy to finish 😉

We filled Le Mond with bikes:

And ate all their food, was super:

Then I tried to keep up with my Adventure friend Johan to work, heavy legs but satisfied.

Le Peloton #117

I can confess that if you can ride later, then it’s easy too sleep a little bit extra and skip Le Peloton at 6.00 😉

5th October was my last Peloton and it felt like ages ago, understand why people think it’s hard to wake up so early. You just have to make it a standard and it won’t feel as early as if you just do it sometimes.

Not as many today but all on cx/mtb so the roadseason seems to be ended 🙂 As I’m not as fast as I want at the moment I tried to be faster with my aero Evade, a Danger speedsuit I got a couple of days ago and aero handlebar…

It didn’t work and I got dropped on the first flat section from the 1st group. Thought of trying one of the shorter loops but I got closer and closer to Karl who was riding the loop for the first time. Caught him just before Erstaviksvägen and same time as my light blinked and indicated 25% left. We rode the golf course loop together but dropped a bit at the long climb back on Erstaviksvägen. And then my light died. It became really dark so was extra happy when we met Claes who dropped his bottle and had turned around to get it.

Rode in front of his light all the way to the adventure course happy to see a bit. Down the Feel like Peter Sagan descend it was a bit scary without a light and just afterwards I rode off the road a bit as I didn’t see it. No crash as it was grass there. Claes got a gap but now it was a bit lighter and I could chase him without making any stupid things and caught him in the end 😀

Happy to have survived when my light died we rolled nicely to Le Mond for great breakfast with the others

She Rides to Drömkåken

Christ went to Heaven, we went to Drömkåken. Thank God for life.

Free day from work means cycling and when it’s great summer weather in early May it had to be a long one. Plan was to ride to Drömkåken with some She Rides Ambassadors and it all started at a museum:

Met up with Ann-Sofie and headed north to meet up the rest. Met up Pia who was today’s awesome guide. Magic roads and great speed, great group. Met up with Noor and her friends at Vikskolan and then the adventure started after 40km:

After a little more than 60km more we came to Drömkåken where I was more focused on coffee and cake than on pictures.

Only picture, of my awesome Specialized S-Works Sub6 shoes and Gelatosocks that really suits me.

There I also met a couple of friends, but just the best looking of them (sorry Håkan) on picture:

Linda rode with Stockholm City Triathletes and rode a shorter route before they continued to Uppsala.

We rode south towards home instead 😉 With a stop where our group got split into two

Great to ride with Noor again. So different but so matchy today with Evade helmets, Jawbreaker glasses, She Rides clothes and Specialized Tarmac bikes 😉

3 left going on a super road, small roads that goes a little up and down in the middle of nowhere is so nice to ride on.

Left Pia in Täby and me and Ann-Sofie rode back to Stockholm again, a long day in the saddle (a good saddle) but with soft tempo so after I got left alone and crossed the central Stockholm I rode some more bridges to come up to 200km 😉 The stats you know. Stats here: Strava

And ending with a idolpicture you can print and put up on your wall. If you meet me I can sign it for you 😉

gravel and ferries with a cap

I hope you understand that the Ironmanthing was a joke. Won’t happen.

But what has happened is that I rode gravel with one of my best friends this saturday 😀 and a group of others:

Awesome trails and great people. Was great until I lost 4 chainringbolts in Lindalen going up a climb. With help from my friend Björn I was on the track again and me, Henrik and Michael ended the ride properly. With a fika at Le Mond:

Today it was time for another ride. Haven’t suited before but today I managed to ride with the Basemilepeople. A bunch of good guys that rode together on Basemile Snowdown in January. Coffeestyle today with Cykelcafé Le Mond clothes and matchy Sako7 socks 😉

DSC_0486

Did a ride around Vaxholm and with strong riders it went pretty fast. Faster than my legs liked but fun 😀 Even got a part of #sportgrus (gravel for roadbikes)

The saving after 100km was a nice lunch at Pizzeria Istanbul in Vallentuna before riding one of the nicest roads just north of Stockholm. Skålhamra.

DSC_0494

Just Awesome, except my legs. Also got a new cycling cap this weekend, Café du Cycliste to match all of my white Specialized helmets 🙂
