Thought of writing an april fool but seemed to obvious. So instead I share a video with you. Late start this year but soon the waiting for the mtb world cup is over and the racing starts for real:
And hopefully we will see Marco Aurelio Fontana or Manuel Fumic win a world cup on the new released Cannondale Scalpel 😀
A big day up on the mountain today started at 9 with women u23. Jenny Rissveds had some altitude problems but did her best with a hard start, falling down to 9th and then passing two in the end and end up 7th. Awesome girl
Then women elite with a German win with Sabine Spitz. With riders like Marianne Vos
Lisi Osl that I hoped should do a bit better today
Kathrin Leumann that always seems to ride good
Julie Bresset that started showing that it wasn’t a French day today
Eva Lechner that rode well and got a third place
Jolanda Jeff that got 7th
Maja Wloszczowska that started well but faded
And the favorite that didn’t have the best time before with a cold. Rode good first three laps and then she stepped up showing she knows how to race, ended 7th. Awesome
Ann Berglund came 38th. Her the elite swedes
And then we got the crowd, was better than I thought and cheering for Spain and France they were best on
There men elite was fun but a bit sad as something happened to Absalon in the start so he was last. The Czech Merida rider rode for a long time in the front before Schurter caught him on the last lap and won
Ending with saying that I will write about the cool technical things I’ve seen tomorrow and showing a tired Miguel Martinez
Pretty soft day just chilling around and ate the second best ice cream I’ve tasted. Only boring thing today is that I didn’t get the chance to meet my favorite xcrider who didn’t have time. But got to meet my favorite women dhrider Emilie Siegenthaler who came in 6th in the qualifications today.
Ended the cycling day with watching men under23 xc race, with Rourke Croeser as coolest rider
And Domain Seigle with coolest bike as I like 650b
Also got to cheer on the young guns in Cannondale Factory Racing
So ready for a longer day up on the mountain tomorrow with women under 23, women elite and men elite. Who do you think will win?
If you see one CXvideo this year, or in your life it should be this one. It shows how hard CX is, how beautiful it is, how european it is and it shows that women is racing as hard as men or maybe even harder for less money.
1:a totalt Världscupen
1:a totalt VM
1:a totalt Superprestige
1:a Nationsmästerskap
1:a totalt Gazet Van Antwerpen
